Updates about COVID-19 in Treasure Coast
Fifty-two new cases of COVID-19 and two new deaths were announced for the Treasure Coast Tuesday by the Florida Department of Health.
The total number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus on the Treasure Coast is now 1,310. The Treasure Coast death toll increased to 51.
St. Lucie County has 492 confirmed cases, and 31 deaths. Indian River County has 138 cases and 10 deaths. Martin County has 680 cases and 10 deaths.
One new deaths was reported Tuesday in both St. Lucie and Martin counties.
Health officials have said the virus is not necessarily the cause of death, but they record people who at some point test positive for the virus and later die.
