  • In its weekly report published Wednesday, OHA updated the breakdown of cases across the state by ZIP code. The three areas with the most new cases were in Marion, Malheur and Umatilla counties. Learn more
  • Oregon health officials on Friday reported two more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 414. The Oregon Health Authority also reported 259 new COVID-19 cases statewide, bringing Oregon’s case total to 24,421. Learn more
  • State officials reported that Friday morning that all 70,000 payments of the one-time $500 relief checks have been distributed to Oregonians in need. Learn more
  • Portland Public Schools released an overview of the district’s “soft start” schedule for the first two weeks of fall term. Learn more
  • A $140,000 grant from the Oregon DEQ will pay growers to re-pack produce from Oregon, California and Washington into smaller portions, then transport it to where the need is. This will prevent tons of food from going to waste amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn more
  • The Oregon Health Authority reported yesterday that four more people have died in the state from COVID-19. A total of 412 people in Oregon have died from the novel coronavirus since the pandemic began. Health officials also reported 301 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state’s total number of cases up to 24,165. Learn more
  • State officials said as of Thursday afternoon that more than 33,000 payments, totaling more than $16 million, have been handed out from Oregon’s $500 relief checks program. That’s nearly half the amount of the $35 million set aside for these payments, gone in just two days. Learn more
