3 COVID-19 deaths, 389 cases reported
Another three people with COVID-19 have died and there have been an additional 389 confirmed cases, the state reported Friday.
At 10 a.m. Friday, the state was reporting 720 COVID-19-related deaths, an increase of three deaths since the state’s tally at 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the state’s Coronavirus.Iowa.gov website. One death has been reported for Thursday and for Friday.
COVID-19 is the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus.
The state was reporting at 10 a.m. Friday that there are 30,355 confirmed cases of coronavirus, an increase of 389 since 10 a.m. Thursday. According to the state’s website, there were 434 confirmed cases Thursday and have been 96 additional cases Friday, as of 10 a.m.
Of the 30,355 people who have tested positive, 24,243 have recovered, according to the state. The total number of people tested is 320,924, including 5,870 on Thursday.
At 10 a.m. Friday, the state was reporting 146 hospitalizations, with 40 patients in the ICU. Thirty-two patients have been admitted in the past 24 hours.
