Lenawee County remains in the medium community COVID-19 level while other southeastern Michigan counties are in the high level.
In Monroe, Washtenaw, Wayne, Macomb, Oakland and Livingston counties, which are in the high category, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone wear masks while at indoor, public places regardless of COVID vaccination status.
Like Lenawee County, Jackson County in Michigan and Lucas and Fulton counties in Ohio are in the medium community COVID level. In the medium level, the CDC recommends people at risk of serious illness from the virus wear masks while at indoor, public places such as stores and theaters.
Hillsdale County is in the low community COVID-19 level. Williams County in Ohio is in the high level.
The CDC uses new COVID cases and hospitalizations per 100,000 people in a seven-day period to determine the community COVID level.
