Santa Barbara County Reports 155 More COVID-19 Cases, No New Deaths | Coronavirus Crisis

The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department reported 155 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the number of active cases to 357.

The county reported a total case count of 4,904, including inmate cases from the Lompoc Federal Prison Complex.

There were no newly confirmed COVID-19-related deaths in the county on Saturday.

Out of the new cases, 67 were in Santa Maria, 21 in Santa Barbara, 19 in Lompoc and 13 in the unincorporated areas of the North County.

In the Summerland-Montecito-Carpinteria area, there were six new cases reported. Goleta and Orcutt each reported five new cases.

Out of the 971 tests administered, 155 came back positive, making for a test-positive rate of nearly 16 percent.

In the county, 74 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, including 26 in intensive care units.

Hospital beds were occupied at 56.5 percent on Saturday, according to the Public Health Department.

Intensive care beds were occupied at 58.7 percent.
