Ulster County’s active COVID-19 cases fall back below 100 – Daily Freeman

KINGSTON, N.Y. — Ulster County reported Sunday that its active COVID-19 cases had dipped back below 100, according to the government’s COVID-19 dashboard.

The county reported 98 COVID-19 active cases as of Friday, March 11, down slightly from 102 cases on Thursday. Last week’s low was 77 cases on Monday, March 7.

Ulster County reported no new deaths on Friday, leaving that total at 372 since the pandemic began in March 2020.

The county said it had had 37,163 confirmed cases of the virus and 36,693 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.

In Dutchess County, the government’s COVID-19 dashboard reported that active cases had risen by 14 to 104 on Friday from 90 on Thursday, which marked the first time cases had fallen below 100 in the county since the middle of last July.

Dutchess County reported no new COVID-19 deaths as of Friday, leaving its pandemic total at 651.

Dutchess County has notched 63,417 confirmed cases since the pandemic’s start.

The dashboard numbers do not include home test results not reported to health departments.
