Washoe County reports 81 new cases, 79 recoveries
Update: Sunday, 3:55 p.m.
The Washoe County Regional Information Center reported 79 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
No new deaths were reported; 156 remains the cumulative death toll in the county.
Since tracking efforts were put in place, there have been 9,349 cases in Washoe County; 1,308 cases are considered active.
Women and Hispanic/Latinos remain the groups most infected by COVID-19, according to the county’s most recent report.
Additionally, the county reported 79 recoveries. There have been 7,885 recoveries to date.
Nevada report confirms 373 new cases, three deaths
Sunday, 10:25 a.m.
The state reported 373 new COVID-19 cases and three coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday, according to the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.
Figures reported by the state reflect numbers from the prior day.
There have been 78,728 coronavirus cases reported since tracking efforts were put in place. A majority of the cases have been concentrated in Clark County. Washoe County holds the second-highest concentration of cases.
Nevada’s death toll has reached 1,585.
Currently, 332 people with confirmed COVID-19 issues are hospitalized, 25 less than the previous figures.
The state’s cumulative positivity rate was 9.9 percent.
Washoe County confirms 96 new cases, one death
Update: Saturday, 4:50 p.m.
Washoe County officials reported 96 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, according to the county’s Regional Information Center.
It was also reported a man in his 80s, with underlying health conditions, died due to coronavirus. The death toll in the county is at 156.
Since tracking efforts were put in place, Washoe County has had 9,268 cases. Currently, 1,306 cases remain active.
Since figures were last reported, there have been 67 recoveries.
Additionally, the county reported a 6.9 percent positivity rate.
State reports 602 new cases, nine deaths
Saturday, 9:55 a.m.
The state reported a spike of 602 new COVID-19 cases on S, according to the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.
Additionally, nine coronavirus-related deaths were reported.
Figures reflected in the state’s report are those from numbers collected the previous day.
Since tracking efforts have been put in place, there have been 78,355 COVID-19 cases in the state and 1,582 deaths.
In all, 322 individuals remain hospitalized with confirmed coronavirus issues, 25 down from the state’s prior report.
Nevada’s cumulative positivity rate was 9.9 percent.
